Every individual can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations. This presentation provides guidance to individuals including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation.
An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and other populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly.
This course is not written for law enforcement officers, but for non-law enforcement personnel.
Upon attending this presentation, the participant will be able to:

- Describe actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents.

Datu Mike Morton
Datu Mike Moreton has trained martial arts and boxing since the age of 12. He has a wealth of experience including training in Kemp, Bushidokan, Modern Arnis, Combat Escrima, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jujitsu.
Mike served as a police officer and defensive tactics trainer for 19 years. He has trained hundreds of police officers, military and martial arts students. His personal combative system Escrima Libre (freestyle escrima) is a mixture of his martial arts training in both weapons and empty hand and 19 years on the street as a police officer in real time self-defense situations. It is fast, fun and challenging.
