Yang style Tai Chi Fall series The graceful, slow motion form of the Yang style of Tai Chi uses relaxed body movement and extended postures to gently enhance the circulation of Qi (vital energy) and blood. Each posture is a balance of Yin and Yang - soft and hard, curved and straight, stillness and motion, form and spirit. Regular practice cultivates greater strength and flexibility while benefiting the circulatory, respiratory, digestive and nervous systems. This class will provide detailed and clear instruction in this fascinating art while delivering a whole body workout.
This class is offered on Monday evenings for all levels from 7:30-8:45 pm between September 20th through December 13th. About the Instructor David Tircuit, L.Ac has 25 years experience in Tai Chi, Xing Yi Quan, Qi Gong and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. and over a decade of professional teaching experience. His primary teacher was Grandmaster Wong Jack Man of the Jing Mo Chinese Physical association in San Francisco. He was a head instructor at the Evolving Body/Mind Institute in Oakland and ran the martial arts and Qi Gong program at Studio E Dance, Fitness and Healing Arts Center in Santa Barbara. David was on the faculty of the Santa Barbara College of Oriental medicine teaching medicinal Qi Gong and Tai Chi for two years before relocating to Portland. In addition to teaching locally, David is a licensed acupuncturist and sees patients in his downtown Portland practice.
