Every student begins with an intro!

Have you wanted to train a martial art and but didn’t know where to begin? Not sure what to expect? Let us help you get started.

Our training is simple

and easy to learn.

Class starts with a simple bow and mediation (a few quiet moments to yourself), followed by a light warm up with joint rotations to prepare your body to move. Body strength exercises, conditioning, and agility movements are a part of every class.  


Pukulan Kuntao Silat is a striking art.

You will learn how to generate power in hitting, starting with how to make a fist, and what part of the fist you can hit with. Everything that you learn empty hand can be translated into weapons defense. In addition to empty had techniques, you will learn knife defense, using aluminum training knives.

We request that students arrive to their first inro class 15 minutes early to meet their instructor, get a tour of the school and have a short “mat” where you’ll review the format of our classes, One With Heart’s ranking system, and have any questions answered.

You’ll also fill out a New Student card!

What to bring to your first class:

  • T-shirt and long pants you can move in

  • Water bottle

  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
